Liz makes a dog scarf

When I was visiting my mother during spring break, she thought of this great idea. The simplest, no-sew, cutest dog scarf ever. Isn't it adorable? Miles here is not very photogenic and was quite scared of my camera, but he's still a cutie. Here's how my mom and I made the scarf:

(Excuse my googled picture and my sloppy purple cut-lines.) Take a shirt (we used a plaid button-up) with no darts in the back. Now cut the back in a giant square, and cut that square into a diamond. You do this so everything you cut is on the bias, therefore the fabric won't fray. This is what makes it a no-sew!
Now it's time to fold the square/diamond in half and tie it on your dog! Isn't Miles handsome? I think the scarf really brings out his under-bite.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Love, Liz
