Liz makes a Halloween front door mummy decoration

A few days ago, I saw a mummy door on Pinterest. I thought it was adorable and I knew I had to replicate it. And I think it turned out great! Also, it was incredibly easy to do. Here's how to do it:

You'll need a roll of tape (I used masking, but you could also use something else, like shipping tape), a pair of scissors, two pieces of black construction paper, one piece of white construction paper (or printer paper) and a roll or two of white crepe paper streamers. I only used one roll of streamers, but I could have easily used two. Wrap and wrap and wrap some crepe paper streamers. Tape each strand on the side of the door. Remember not to tape over your door lock.
Now grab your construction paper. Use something to trace big circles with for eyes. I used a tupperware lid for the black circles and my sugar bowl lid for the white circles. Tape the white circles on top of the black circles.
Tape the eyes on the door. I tucked them under a couple of streamers to make it look a little nicer. You can still sort of see our door number, but that doesn't bother me too much.
I love the way the door looks right next to the pumpkins Tyler and I carved. I carved the owl and Tyler carved Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I love them! I wish I could get both the pumpkins and the door in one picture, but it's impossible due to living in an apartment.
Have a great week everyone!

    1. I wish I had somewhere to wear a costume to, but unfortunately that fell through. I won't be wearing a costume this year. :(

    2. WHAT? oh, that's a bit upsetting....what where you going to be?
You can always make cat ears out of felt then stick them on a headband and said that you dressed up!
