Liz makes some embroidery hoop art

I've been getting really into embroidery lately. I find it really fun and relaxing and I can do it while I sit on my couch and watch television. I don't know too many stitches, but with the few I know, I have been quite the busy bee. Today I'll show you how to finish up your embroidery work after you're done with the actual embroidering part.

First, you'll need to make sure your fabric is circular, an inch or two bigger than your hoop. Then, thread a sewing needle with enough thread to go around the circumference of the hoop.
Go around the edge of the fabric using a running stitch.
Gather all of the thread together.
Tie the thread in a simple bow and tuck it behind the fabric. I didn't double knot mine, just so I could untie it later if it needed to be washed.
And that's about it. It's a simple but effective way to finish up your work.
Let me know if any of you would be interested in me making more and releasing patterns in another post.
Happy Monday!
Love, Liz
