Liz makes a dried flower candle

My mom and I were in Hobby Lobby the other day and saw that there were some candles with dried flowers melted onto them for about $10-$15. My mom and I both thought to ourselves, "we can make that!" So we got a cheap, regular ol' candle, a $0.99 candle that I was comfortable melting and some paintbrushes. Yesterday, I finally got around to making it, and it was really easy! Here's how you can make one too.

Like I mentioned earlier, all you need is a cylindrical candle, a cheap candle you don't mind melting and some cheap paint brushes.
You'll also need to pick some small flowers. Dry them in a book for a few days, with a paper towel between the pages. See how they're all nice and flat?
Melt your cheap candle somehow. You can use a candle warmer, or a double broiler on the stove. Don't microwave it! Stick a dried flower on the candle and paint over it with the melted wax. You have to work quickly because the wax dries pretty fast.
Do this all around the candle and you're done! Simple as that.
I really love it! I want to make a ton of them with bigger flowers or maybe even some leaves. What do you think? Would you make something like this? Have a great weekend!
Love, Liz
