I had a really strong urge to make a whale pillow today. I honestly didn't think it would turn out, but it totally did. I didn't make a tutorial, but it's really easy to make one. All you need to do is draw a giant whale on a giant piece of paper. Then you need to cut out said piece of paper. Pin paper to two pieces of fabric and cut them out as well. Sew right sides together with a 1" seam allowance while leaving a gap. Turn inside out, stuff and sew gap closed.
I decided to use some awesome math fabric for the front and plain purple fabric for the back. I think it turned out great! Way better than expected.
Here's a close-up of that math fabric. In the words of Finn the Human: it's mathematical!
I bet these would be great presents for children or maybe even adults who are fans of whales. Either way, they are fun to make!
Love, Liz
