Liz makes a flower hair accessory

I made this cute little flower today out of felt. It's attached with a bobby pin. At first, I thought it would be a little too obnoxious for me, but I've come to like it. I might even wear it out to dinner tonight! I originally saw a similar tutorial on this lovely blog via Pinterest and decided to make it my own. I'll show you how I did mine. Here we go!

You'll need a sheet of paper, scissors, a sheet of felt, a hot glue gun and a bobby pin.
I made a pattern out of a flower I found on the internet. I used this one. I cut out four flowers out of white felt. (I will need a fifth flower later, but since I'm not using it now, I will cut it out then.)
Fold the four flowers in half and arrange them like the picture above. Glue in place.
Now cut out a fifth flower if you haven't done so already. Bunch it up like so.
Glue it in the center of everything. Make sure the glue is on all of the petals, so it stays in place.
Glue a square (or circle) of felt on the back so everything is nice and secure.
Now grab your bobby pin, and slide in a small piece of felt. Place glue on both sides of the bobby pin to the flower. You should be able to slide the bobby pin in and out so you can reuse it for other flowers if you'd like. You'll actually want the bobby pin the other way around than shown in the picture. I forgot to take another photo after I realized it was backwards. You can also use an alligator clip if you have one, but I thought this was better because it's removable.
Easy peasy, right? It's so cute, I think. Have a fantastic Valentine's Day everybody! I know I will! :D
Love, Liz
