Liz makes a craft organizing board

It's been raining all day here in Albuquerque! The moisture is nice, but the sky is so grey and gloomy. I decided, since I couldn't go outside and do an outfit post, to organize some of my crafting supplies on a cork board.

I found my inspiration from Christina here on her lovely blog. All I did was take the frame off of the cork board (one I've had for ages) and cover it with fabric, using hot glue. I also covered a small cardboard box with fabric and a toilet paper tube with felt and thumb tacked them to the board.

I also printed out a calendar (I just googled it) on pink paper. The bows are ones I sewed awhile back. I can easily move anything on this board (with the exception of the clothes pins I hot glued on) because most of the things are on there with thumb tacks.

Here's a close-up of the clothes pins I drew faces on before I hot glued them to the board.

How do you organize your craft supplies?
Love, Liz

  2. What a great board! (And I lived in ABQ a few years ago - what a great little city, and how I miss the green chile!)

  4. This looks so great! I especially love the camera :). I never would have thought to do this, I just keep all my craft supplies in glass jars on my desk or hidden away in drawers.

  5. You are so crafty! I am envious. I always bookmark craft ideas to do on a rainy day, but I actually never actually do them!

  10. Oh, I always knew that organizing craft works will turn out into a beautiful thing to look at but I'm so lazy and my creativity is at 0, that's why I never tried. But yours turned out so beautiful! ♥ The first picture is incredibly cute and inspiring ;)

    Have a nice weekend,
