I absolutely love calzones. All of my favorite foods in one dish. Bread? Check. Cheese? Check. Green chile? Check. Marinara sauce? Check. We usually buy these really delicious (and expensive) calzones from a local pizza place, but I decided it was time to make my own.
You'll need:
A can of biscuits (8 biscuits)
1 cup of cheese (I used cheddar and a pizza mix)
1 cup marinara sauce (any spaghetti sauce works)
and your choice of toppings (pepperoni, green chile, pineapple, sausage, etc.)
1 cup of cheese (I used cheddar and a pizza mix)
1 cup marinara sauce (any spaghetti sauce works)
and your choice of toppings (pepperoni, green chile, pineapple, sausage, etc.)
First, open your can of biscuits. Flatten them out as flat as you can. Put in as much toppings as you can bear. Fold over and crimp the edges with a fork. Poke a couple of holes in the top with your fork so steam (and maybe a bit of cheese in my case) can escape.
Bake 375 at for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with a side of marinara sauce. I also like ranch, so I dipped them in that too. So yummy!
Have a great week!
Love, Liz
