Hey everyone! This week went by too fast -- I'm still trying to catch up with it! I thought I'd start off the fall season with a new feature all about comfort food-type (and completely vegetarian) side dishes. What a perfect way to start that with green bean casserole? Here's my super easy recipe for it. You'll only need three ingredients!
Those three ingredients happen to be:
2 cans cut green beans
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup french friend onions
First, you'll need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of your french fried onions. It kind of looks a bit like mush, but trust me here, it will be delicious.
Spread that all out in a glass baking dish. Please excuse the giant chip in mine. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until slightly bubbly.
Take out and top with the remaining 1/4 cup of french friend onions. Bake for five or so more minutes. Then eat it because it's delicious.
If any of you have some vegetarian and budget friendly comfort-food side dish recipes, I'd love to hear them and try them! I love baking/cooking new recipes.
Have a great Saturday!
